United Way brings communities together to focus on the most important human needs – building partnerships, forging consensuses and leveraging resources to make a measurable difference.

Mission:

To mobilize the caring power of our community through participation in fundraising, volunteerism, advocacy, education and partnerships for the purpose of improving lives and building a strong and vital Sullivan County.

United Way of Sullivan County depends on the kindness and generosity of local businesses and individuals to carry out its mission. Although United Way of Sullivan County is a member of United Way of America, we operate as a private not-for-profit agency and receive no financial support from our national organization or the government. The people who count on us are counting on you!

Community Impact:

United Way of Sullivan County is initiating Community Impact Projects that target some of our toughest problems right here in Sullivan County. It’s our way of making permanent and measurable changes in our community that will have a positive impact on the lives of our residents.

United Way of Sullivan County Dine Around, Wednesday, May 9, 2012 (Information to follow)
May Food Drive: United Way of Sullivan County will again join with the National Association of Letter Carriers to help “Stamp Out Hunger.” The 2012 Food Drive is scheduled for Saturday, May 12.	Collections will take place the week leading up to May 12. Food may be dropped off at your local post office or left in plastic bags at your home delivery box.
Bob Rosen Memorial Scholarship 2011 Winner Jessica Dunnigan from Liberty High School	United Way of Sullivan County is pleased to announce the 2nd annual scholarship honoring the memory of the late Bob Rosen. The five hundred dollar Bob Rosen Memorial Scholarship is open to students graduating high school in June 2011, who have participated in varsity athletics and who plan to continue their education.
