UNITED WAY OF SULLIVAN COUNTY ANNOUNCES THE WINNER OF THE SECOND ANNUAL BOB ROSEN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Jessica Dunnigan, a graduate of Liberty High School, was chosen to receive the Second Annual Bob Rosen Memorial Scholarship.  Selection was competitive and many applications from school districts throughout the county were reviewed and evaluated by the Scholarship Committee.  Jessica’s stood out for exceptional dedication and commitment in the classroom, on the playing field and in her community. 

The annual five hundred dollar scholarship is open to graduating students in all Sullivan County school districts and is awarded on the basis of a combination of GPA, extracurricular activities, community service, athletic participation, character references and a 500-word essay. 

United Way of Sullivan County commends Jessica for her outstanding achievement and wishes her every success as she continues her education at Northeastern University.  Congratulations Jessica!

United Way of Sullivan County depends on the kindness and generosity of local businesses and individuals to carry out its mission.  Although United Way of Sullivan County is a member of United Way of America, we operate as a private not-for-profit agency and receive no financial support from our national organization or the government.  The people who count on us are counting on you!

Community Impact:

United Way of Sullivan County is initiating Community Impact Projects that target some of our toughest problems right here in Sullivan County.  It’s our way of making permanent and measurable changes in our community that will have a positive impact on the lives of our residents.

United Way of Sullivan County is pleased to announce the 2nd annual scholarship honoring the memory of the late Bob Rosen.  The five hundred dollar Bob Rosen Memorial Scholarship is open to students graduating high school in June 2011, who have participated in varsity athletics and who plan to continue their education.
